Speech Related Efforts:
  • A speech interface for the AWACS Block 40/45 upgrade Primary AWACS display (PAD).
  • Developed vocabularies and dynamic grammars appropriate for the AWACS mission.
  • Implemented the speech interface, including all system services, grammars, client and communication code to integrate with the Tactical Display Framework (TDF).
  • Uses COTS hardware/software
    • Windows XP OS; Tactical Display Framework (TDF) v4.0; Java-based
    • Nuance speech recognition engine (v8.5.0)
